Balance Class

According to the CDC “Falls are the leading cause of injury for adults ages 65 years and older. Over 1 in 4 older adults report falling every year. Falls among adults aged 65 and older are common, costly, and preventable.”

Balance, the ability to maintain your center of gravity within your body is a learned skill. Yet, as we get older we stop doing the things that naturally keep us balanced. This gentle yet effective class will challenge our balance, and help improve your proprioception, coordination, strength and stability – all of which can reduce the risk of falls. If you are looking to maintain and/or increase your mobility and independence this class is perfect for you. Appropriate for all ages and fitness levels.

About Your Instructor

Teaching fitness classes and helping others actually enjoy healthier lives became a passion for me in my early 20’s. It has been a fun journey ever since!! Over the years, I became more aware of the unique fitness needs and challenges that come with aging, inspiring my mission to
learn all I could to support the senior community. As a passionate advocate for senior health and wellness, classes are designed to be not only safe and effective but also fun for everyone!

With a focus on functional movements and age-appropriate exercises, classes cater to the diverse needs of older adults, making adjustments to ensure all feel comfortable and supported. My approach to teaching is rooted in compassion and encouragement, fostering a positive space where all can thrive – inspiring students to embrace the benefits of regular physical activity. Whether it’s improving flexibility, building strength, or enhancing balance, the goal is to help seniors (and all) maintain (or regain) an active lifestyle.

Join me in these classes, where we’ll work together to enhance mobility, boost energy levels, maintain independence, and foster a strong sense of community. Let’s get started on this journey to vitality and longevity – one step at a time!
