Praise Boogie offers a good combination of sitting, standing, and floor exercises. Doris, the instructor, really cares about our body’s entire well-being. As I age, stretching my muscles and tendons is more important than ever, and this class really helps me feel more flexible. Exercises (re balance, posture, and hip and back) are all core to the class. Lots of laughs only adds to the good medicine of relaxation. Try the class out!

I have been in Doris’s classes for 10 years now. She has helped me through my recovery from 2 hip and 2 knee replacements. I’ve been able to function like nothing ever happened thanks to her gentle prodding and encouragement when I needed it to keep moving. I highly recommend her for her teaching abilities and the good it will do for your body plus she makes it fun.

First time here, and class was uplifting and joyful! I really got to work on my hamstring muscles today, such a good workout overall. Doris is fun and I love that she starts her class with a joke, and makes funny comments throughout the session. 😊

Balance Class
According to the CDC “Falls are the leading cause of injury for adults ages 65 years and older. Over 1 in 4 older adults report falling every year. Falls among adults aged 65 and older are common, costly, and preventable.”
Balance, the ability to maintain your center of gravity within your body is a learned skill. Yet, as we get older we stop doing the things that naturally keep us balanced. This gentle yet effective class will challenge our balance, and help improve your proprioception, coordination, strength and stability – all of which can reduce the risk of falls. If you are looking to maintain and/or increase your mobility and independence this class is perfect for you. Appropriate for all ages and fitness levels.
